Not easy being a housewife… I salute them…

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

Wow… What a day for me. A sunday and imagine normally if I were in Singapore, how I spend this nice and enjoyable sunday is a morning walk with my parents at East Coast Park. A definitely a regular visit to Coffeebean & Tea leaf outlet at East Coast for breakfast. Later at noon, going out for lunch with my family in town and if there is any block buster movie on screen, we will definitely not to miss any as my parents are a movie lovers and well, a dinner outside before we call it off a nice sunday.

BUT… Things have been so different for me as I decided to work in HK one year ago… As my 1st anniversary is coming (Pls dont mistaken it… My 1st yr staying in HK and not any BGR thing okie.. Sigh.) in Sept 22, I feel that my Sunday are always so busy with housework instead. Ever since the day I started to live alone in May 07, my weekends are always fill with plenty of housework. Just like today 26/08, I dont know how I got this drive of mopping the floor and even when I found out that I didnt have a floor cleaning detergent, I even took the effort to rush down to the supermarket in my condo and buy one. I dont know… Maybe at the point when I found out that my house dont have any detergent, I should have told myself this: "Arh… Let’s forget it man!". Sit down and relax… Wait for tonight soccer match at 2230hrs for the game Man Utd against Spurs at Old Trafford with my Heineken beer and my fav snacks - peanuts and chips… Oops… Hope my mum dont happen to read my blog as she has been telling me over the phone when I call back home: "Son, when you have time, please kindly go and do some exercise, otherwise, you wont have any BGR thing going on soon…!". Hmmm… Fortunately, I am staying alone… Imagine if I have my mum with me in HK and if she has those rules in mind of Army which I used to have when I was in Tekong for 3 months army training for my 2 yrs and 4 mths of national service… "Son! Stand by fridge in 2 mins… Is that clear!"… I just wondering where am I going to hide all my Heineken beers… There are still plenty in my fridge. Anyway, I was just talking crap… think for the past 5 mins when I am typing this blog… I am not that fat… But just that doing housework definitely help to burn a lot of myfats away… Which I found out that the main reason why I havnt even use my squash racket since I got it in July…

Doing housework is not any simple job as what we guys always think. I think any girls reading this, they are either clapping with smile or if they feel touch, maybe they are shedding a tears or two now… Hahaa… But it is true man… Come on, imagine a guy like me who is so used to having a maid to do all the housework in my Singapore’s home, start to say this… It does mean that we guys should appreciate and respect more of our ladies, be it your mum, ur sibling, ur gf or even your maid… When they are doing/helping out with the hosuework. Just by mopping the floor, I felt so arching after mopping a floor area of 688 sq m today… Even now when I am typing, I feel some arching at my back… So, imagine ladies who even need to do other things without a rest… Sigh… have been doing a lot of self-reflection these days… Maybe I am alone that’s why… Hahaa… Anyway, time for my dinner at my relative’s place… Will continue when I have any new self-reflection to share.. kekee.. Hahaa.. :p

Oh man.. My elder sis is getting married this Nov.. Oh gosh…

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Yeah, finally the time has come… After waited for so long, finally, my elder sis, being the eldest child in my Liao family, is getting married. It is a gd news to my whole family especially my grandparent from both side have been waiting for so long. Yet, I am the only one who bear happiness on my face and saddness in my heart… *Sob*… Coz I will be the next in line for the bell or I should say the spotlight will turn to me after Nov this yr… Sigh… Thinking abt it, I am still a single and nothing has been developing yet since I was young… Unlike my elder sis whose status is "Developed country". Mine is still a "Third world country". So what can I say? Speechless… Hopefully, time will come and I can see love is in the air soon. Or to put it simple, let’s fate decides.
