Curse of the Golden Flower

Sunday, December 24th, 2006

Yeah… After 3 months of stay in HK, I just simply cant tolerate the boredom and decided to go for a movie myself. Hahaaa… Quite true. In Singapore, I will normally go for movie with my family or friends when there is any new movie/s release. But over here in HK, my uncles and aunties have the same hobby as me watching movies. Maybe coz they can wait for the VCD/DVD to be release and rent from the shops instead of watching it from the Theatre.

Anyway, I watched the movie - Curse of the Golden Flower on Christmas Eve (24/12) alone. As I remembered, this wasnt my first time watching movie alone. My first time was few years back when they showed "The Fifth Elements". I think I was in Secondary School in Singapore back then. At that time, I dont know why I want to watch it alone when I have my friends who can accompany me. Simply cant figure out why… Hahaa…

As for the movie, I think I dont talk much here as I believe most people will know what is the movie abt. It is a nice movie and especially the war inside the Forbidden City. All coz of unspeakable secrets which torn the King’s family apart. Hmmm… Think need to flip the newspaper again and see which movie/s will be in my list soon and I think it is definitely is his movie. "Hi, my name is Bond, James Bond". - Casino Royale

Trip to Macau 17/12/06

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

It was a Sunday and I went to Macau with my uncle and his family. It is a 1 hr boat ride from Hong Kong Island to Macau. Though the purpose for this trip can consider as a family outing but it was also meant for "renewal" for my stay in HK. My 90 days given to me when I first entered Hk in Sept is going to expire on 20th this month. So if I want to prolong my stay in HK, I need to exit once and re-enter to get a new period. Hahaa.. Funny right… I think so…

Anyway, it has been so long since I first came to Macau. Think that was like more than 10 years ago before I mirgated to Singapore. Hmm.. It is totally different and amazing. Cant figure out how Macau can survive on Gamble business as the main industry. I think many of us cant really know the answer. Taxation is heavy if one’s want to open a casino but it is hard to imagine. Of course, I did went into the Sands Casino but someone like me who is already having problem surviving in HK, cant afford to place any bet on the table. Hahaa… It was fun entering into Casino. It is so beautifully done up and it look classy.

Beside visiting Casino, we did went to local places like 妈祖阁. I sent my prayer to 妈祖 to ask for 健康 and 平安 for my family and myself. Went to Macau Tower and we had a nice view of the whole Macau from the top of the tower. Just that it is too expansive to try the Skyjump. HK$500+… But anyway, even if i have the money, I think I wouldnt want to jump coz it is simply too high… Kekekee…

We went to other places like St. Paul’s - 大三巴牌坊. It is one of the famous tourist attraction in Macau and it suffered 3 fire outbreak and the front wall is what left behind till today. Other than that, the driver whom we hired for 4 hours at the habour, took us to some other places where we tried the Original 萄挞, the upcoming, grand Las Vegas Casino which open in 2007. Sands, brought the whole Casino from Las Vegas to Macau… It is build exactly the same as what they have in Las Vegas. Cant believe… Sigh… Maybe I should also change job man.. hahaa…

After a day of visiting… It was time to leave and it took me another hr to reach HK. Hmmm… Though this time round, it was a short trip, it was definitely a trip for me to put away stress accumlate from the busy working life in Hk and relax fully.

Something “extra” in my Breakfast+Lunch

Sunday, December 10th, 2006

Today is suppose to be a beautiful Sunday to me. Woke up abt 10+ in the morning which is definitely a pamper to myself as I have been waking up at 8 during weekdays and work till 1830hrs. Not to say on Sat where I got to attend course from 1430 to 1730hrs.

After I woke at around 10+, I watched a Jap TV series called "冰之骄子 Pride" at 11. A very nice TV show… I always catch the show at 11 every Sunday but sometimes, I do woke up around 12 which I miss the show time. Usually, I will then go for my Breakfast+Lunch meal downstair where they have a few Cafe resturant.

What so special abt my Breakfast+Lunch today was I ordered a "Prawn rice with egg". Then when I was abt to finish the plate of rice… I suddenly saw an "UFO - A leg" which definitely dont match with the size of the prawns I eat… The prawns were small… Just like a Singapore Fifty cents. But the "Leg" match well with a Tiger prawn instead of the prawns I ate… Errrr… I was actually blur for few seconds!!! They dont serve any Tiger prawn in their menu and I had look and look very closely at their menu but NOOO… Sigh… I was keep thinking whether is it the… You know… Our friend’s "小强" or "阿强" - cockroach leg instead… Errrrrrrrrrrr… Coz of this… it spoils my whole afternoon.

Pls… It is towards the end of the yr. Dont tell me "有头, 必有尾"… If my friends still remember my first few entries in 2006, I did mentioned that I was in the toilet bowl vomitting due to food posioning when people in my neighbourhood started to count down for the new yr -2006. So I dont hope the same will happen here… Lucky me that that time was in Singapore where hospital is within reach by my dad’s car. But in HK… I got to take a taxi to the near-by hospital if anything happens… Though my Yi Zhang has a car, but it takes time for him to reach my place… The miserable and/or sufering experience I had that time is unthinkable… Errrr… Pls… I better pray hard and hope nothing bad will happen. Though I think I do like to visit a particular clinic near my workplace coz a nurse or called "姑娘" in HK is quite pretty and her smile is sweet and nice which does attract me alot… Hmm… But touch woods. hahaa… Hopefully nothing will happens. Pls…

So Cold & Windy today…

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Err… It was damn cold today… 17 degree C man. I was in Central and the wind was blowing so strong that I was running to MTR after my seminar at The Chinese Manufacturer Assoication. The distance from the building to MTR at least has half a km and in fact, beside me, other people on the street did the same. No one would ever walk slowly to enjoy the cold wind. Sigh… for the next few days will be the same and only on Fri, the weather will be slightly higher. Between 21 to 24… I think I must say I will have the real Christmas atmosphere this time round which I dont enjoy it when I was in Singapore.

Neck strain

Friday, December 1st, 2006

Wah… This pain in my neck is so bad that I always feel dizzy. It has definitely affected my normal day activities. Especially visiting my clients. Reason is because not only that I cant perform well in front of my clients, also the likelyhood of an accident. Imagine if suddenly the pain get worse and I faint… Somemore, some of the MTR stations where it is not underground does not have any doors to prevent any object/pple from going down the railway track. So… Just imagine w/o me elebroate further. But I think I better consult the Chinese doctor if the Western medicine fail. But the gal who attended me in the clinic look pretty… kekeee… How I hope I can re-visit her again… Touch wood!
